TLAHUILTEQU(I) pret: TLAHUILTEC to go the shortest route, to cut corners / atajar o ir por camino más breve o atravesar (M) [(1)Bf.2v]. Since B specifically marks the vowels of the first three syllables short, the otherwise unattested first element of this contrasts with TLĀHUĪL-LI ‘candlelight.’ M has this with the directional prefix ON-. verb. TEQU(I).
