ZOQUI-CANAUH-TLI, literally, “mud goose,” Fulvous Whistling-Duck (Dendrocygna bicolor) [FC: 57 Çoquicanauhtli]: “… is the same as the goose [concanauhtli]. It also breeds among the reeds. However, its feathers are smoky, sooty” {FC 57]. Since I suspect that “the goose” (CON-CANAUH-TLI) is the Fulvous Whistling-Duck, it is reasonable to assume that this is a synonym.
