MĀCOTŌN(A) vt to cut off someone’s hand, to injure a hand / cortar a otro la mano (M), le mocha la mano (T) [(4)Tp.191]. T provides an additional gloss ‘to make memelas (a type of thick, oblong tortilla).’ In this sense it probably means to section something off by hand. See MĀ(I)-TL, COTŌN(A).
