Frances Karttunen:

TLANIHTOĀ vrefl, vt to lose something at gambling / perder algo en el juego (M) This is implied by TLANIHTALHUIĀ. In light of TLĀN(I) ‘to defeat someone at gambling,’ one would expect a long vowel in the first syllable. TLANIHTOĀ and TLANIHTALHUIĀ are based on a single attestation (Cf.118v) in which the vowel of the first syllable is not marked for length. C may have omitted a diacritic.

TLANIHTALHUIĀ applic. TLANIHTOĀ.
