(Anales de Juan Bautista, 1582, f. 8r–8v) = Tere was a man, a commoner from Michmaloyan named Juan Teton. He deceived, took advantage of the people of Cohuatepec and Atlapolco, making them happy so that he would wash their heads. To cause confusion and fool them, Juan washed their heads. He said this to the Cohuatepeca and Atlapolca. First it was the Cohuatepeca who washed their heads. After they washed their heads, they came bringing this to Atlapolco. Thus, they have cultivated a lie in this altepetl and thus they have fooled you.
