Frances Karttunen:

MIMITE-TL pl: -MEH bone/ hueso (T) [(1)Tp.142]. T has this and also –MICECUIL- -MIMICECUILM - -MIMICECUILYŌ ‘rib.’ These latter all correspond to OMICICUIL-LI, which is derived from OMI-TL ‘bone.’ Here too T has lost the initial vowel of OMI-TL and performs reduplication on the resulting form. See OMI-TL, TE-TL.
