Frances Karttunen:

TLAHTLAIHTLAN(I) vrefl to beg / mendigar (K) [(1)Tp.159]. This is indirectly attested in T’s nominalization MOTLAHTLAIHTLANI ‘beggar.’ M has reflexive tlaitlania and, in the Spanish-to-Nahuatl side only, the reduplicated form, both meaning ‘to beg.’ This distributive form reduplicates the fused prefix TLA- rather than the verb stem itself. See IHTLAN(I).
