Frances Karttunen:

TLAZĀL-LI something sticky such as bird lime; clothing, cloth / liga para cazar o prender pájaros (M), ropa, trapo, tela, género (Z) [(8)Zp.104,111,120,125,172,184,214]. This is abundantly attested in Z with the sense of ‘clothing, cloth.’ M has only the ‘bird lime’ sense, which in the sources for this dictionary are supported by derivations from ZĀLOĀ ‘to glue, join something.’
