TZOTZOCA-TL pl: -MEH someone miserly and avaricious / verruga, o persona lacerada, apretada y escasa (M), mezquino, verruga, grano que no tiene pus (T) [(1)Tp.244, (3)Zp.84,85,227, (6)Xp.98,99]. There is a gender distinction in current Spanish verrugo ‘miser’ and verruga ‘pimple.’ The latter can also be a disparaging term for a person. T seems to use TZOTZOCA-TL both ways. M also has unreduplicated tzocatl.
