ĪXIZTĀC something whitish; the whites of one’s eyes / medio blanco, el ojo se le puso blanco (T) [(2)Tp.136,137]. There are two derivations here. The sense of ‘something whitish’ involves the modifier ĪX- ‘somewhat,’ while ‘whites of one’s eyes’ is a compound with ĪX-TLI. See ĪX-, ĪX-TLI, IZTĀC.
