Thank you to all our users who emailed to alert us to the problem! We hope to have it repaired soon.

Meanwhile, elements of the Advanced Search are working and the Alphabetical Listings are working, too.

cochtlachiya.

Headword:
cochtlachiya.
Principal English Translation:

to see while sleeping (see attestations), or, to waken and go back to sleep repeatedly (see Karttunen)

Orthographic Variants:
cochtlachia
IPAspelling:
kotʃtɬɑtʃiyɑ
Frances Karttunen:

COCHTLACHIY(A) pret: -CHIX ~ -CHĪX to waken and go back to sleep repeatedly / recuerda, se despierta y vuelve a dormir repetidas veces (T) [(3)Tp.116]. M has the noun cochtlachializtli ‘conception, vision between dreams.’ Although T only indicates that the preterit is formed with X, this undoubtedly undergoes the same potential vowel lengthening before the X as CHIY(A) does. The alternative preterits given here are based on CHIY(A). T only gives the final X. See COCH(I), TLACHIY(A).
